Emily attended Florida State University for her undergraduate degree, where she graduated early with a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs and Political Science. Emily earned her Juris Doctor in May 2023 from Stetson University College of Law, ranked number one in the country for trial advocacy and number three for legal research and writing. Her demonstrated excellence in both areas included winning the Victor O. Whele Award in Trial Advocacy, receiving the Highest-Grade Designation in Trial Advocacy, and being selected as a Teaching Assistant in Research and Writing I and II.
In addition to her skills in trial advocacy and legal writing, it is important for Emily to connect with clients and her community. While at Stetson, she received the Highest-Grade Designation in Interviewing and Counseling, served as the Stetson Community Associate with Social Venture Partner, and received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. She was also President of the International Law Society, Social Committee Chair of Phi Alpha Delta, Vice President and Founding Member of the Mental Health Law Association, and was elected to serve as a Stetson Ambassador. Starting in undergraduate and throughout law school, Emily worked as a law clerk for several law firms with varied practices including civil litigation, employment law, real estate, and criminal defense.
A Tampa Bay-native, Emily enjoys spending time with her friends and family, running in downtown St. Petersburg, and volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House.
